From our Bed and Breakfast you can discover both beautiful provinces wandering, by bike or car, as well as places in the surroundings of Balkbrug (4 km) and Dedemsvaart (4 km). The distance to Slagharen is nearly 10 km, Ommen is approximately 15 km, Nieuwleusen 11 km, Zuidwolde ( Drenthe) 10 km away. Slightly further afield Zwolle (30 km), Meppel (Drenthe, 30 km), Hoogeveen (Drenthe 20 km) and the centre of Hardenberg (20 km). Groningen (75 km) and Amsterdam (140 km). Just across the border with Germany are places like Uelsen and Nordhorn, Bad Bentheim, which are certainly worth a visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The common lounge is on the ground floor in the former barn of the farmhouse. There you can prepare coffee or tea as needed. For a small fee you can also obtain juice, beer, wine or a snack by means of self-service. In this space are a TV and a DVD player; you will find tourist information and there are games. There is a wireless WIFI-internet connection. In this lounge area a rich and healthy breakfast is served in the morning<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Around our farm more than 4000 m2 nature friendly ornamental- and herbal gardens can be visited by our guests. More than 35 years no fertilizers and pesticides are used. On various seats you can quietly enjoy the inspiring environment. There is a pasture with lama Thomas and sheep Yvon and there are chickens and some hives with bees. In the summer months you can also encounter storks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Near B &amp; B De Kruidenhoeve are several surprising hiking and bicycle routes. The Kruidenhoeve offers hikers and cyclists, but also others, every season a pleasant place for bed and breakfast. Starting from De Kruidenhoeve there are two walking trails: \"Koeienflatsen en Hooilanden, 8 km\u201d (Cow\u2019s muck and meadows) and \u201cBuurten in Oud Avereest, 16 or 18 km\" (Visiting Oud Avereest) see: www.mooisteroutes.nl or www.route.nl<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The farmhouse is located in the outskirts, about four kilometers from the village centre of Balkbrug with supermarket, drugstore, flower shop, some eating places and a fantastic beautiful open-air swimming pool \"Heuveltjesbosbad\". To the other side you reach after four km the centre of Dedemsvaart. This is a somewhat bigger place with a wide choice of shops and restaurants, a museum, a theatre facility in an old gas factory and an indoor swimming pool.
